Workforce Ready Now was founded by someone who spent three decades on the other side of the desk, and who knows exactly what it takes to get a young person hired.
Peri built Workforce Ready Now out of two lives at once.
In one, she spent over 30 years on the hiring side, deciding who got the call. She held leadership roles at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) and Office Depot, founded a chain of high-end children's salons, and earned a Bachelor's and Master's in Engineering from Cornell. She has read thousands of resumes and knows in seven seconds what most students spend months guessing at.
In the other, she raised two kids of her own and lived every version of the conversation parents dread. The deaf ears. The friction. The quiet fear that they aren't ready.
After years of interviewing candidates and hiring across industries, she kept seeing the same thing. Smart, driven students who had done everything asked of them and still had no idea how to launch a career. Nobody had ever taught them how to walk up to a stranger and ask for what they want. So she built the thing she wished had existed.
Her method is tough love with real clarity. She teaches students to be Appropriately Aggressive, to go after what they want with persistence and professionalism, and she gives them the confidence to actually do it. She is a Certified Professional Resume Writer and the author of The Ultimate Interview Playbook. She lives in Boca Raton with her husband, two college-aged kids, and three dogs.
She works where operations, marketing, and growth meet, which is a polite way of saying she builds whatever the business needs next. The automations and processes running quietly in the background. The paid and organic marketing out front. The outreach campaigns that put students in front of hundreds of the right professionals. She helped build SIGNAL, and helps keep it running.
Twenty years of range got her here. She practiced law in New York, handling medical malpractice and insurance defense and serving as national coordinating counsel on multi-district and class actions. She ran communications for a nonprofit of more than a thousand members. She co-owned and scaled two companies alongside her husband, selling one for twice what they paid for it. She has done plenty of hiring herself, which is why she reads both sides of the table as clearly as Peri does.
Erin holds a Juris Doctor cum laude from Pace Law School and a degree in Corporate Communication from Ithaca College. She lives in Boca Raton with her husband, their two kids, and two dogs.
I was feeling stuck and at a standstill. Peri and Erin truly went above and beyond to help me regain my confidence.
You don't have to know what you want yet. Most students don't, and that's completely okay. We help you find your path, and we build the confidence and self-worth that carry you through your whole career, long after the offer lands.
We tell you what a recruiter actually thinks, even when it stings. Especially when it stings.
Not pushy. Not passive. We teach you how to go after what you want, and how to believe you deserve it.
Your resume opens the door. Who you are walks through it. We work on both.
We've raised kids through this. We've been stuck ourselves. That's exactly why it works.
