SIGNAL is a job intelligence platform built for students and early career professionals. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights as a user.

What We Collect

Information you provide:

- Email address (used for account creation and authentication)

- Resume text and work history (used to score job fit)

- Career preferences including target roles, locations, and job type

- Job descriptions you submit for analysis

- Profile information including education, graduation year, and career goals

Information collected automatically:

- Basic usage data (features used, analyses run)

- Device type and operating system

- App version

We do not collect payment information. All payments are processed securely by Stripe and subject to Stripe's privacy policy.

How We Use Your Data

We use your information to:

- Generate job fit scores and career analysis

- Produce positioning guidance, cover letters, and networking recommendations

- Maintain your job tracker and application history

- Send authentication emails (magic links)

- Improve the accuracy of our scoring engine

We do not sell your personal data to third parties. We do not use your data for advertising.

Data Sharing

We share data only in the following limited circumstances:

- Anthropic — resume and job description text is processed by Anthropic's Claude AI to generate analysis. Data is processed per Anthropic's privacy policy and is not used to train AI models.

- Supabase — your profile and application data is stored securely in Supabase's cloud database infrastructure.

- Stripe — payment processing only. We do not share resume or career data with Stripe.

- Career coaches — if you connect with a career coach through SIGNAL, your coach will have access to your profile, job analyses, and application tracker as you have explicitly authorized.

- Legal requirements — we may disclose data if required by law.

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by emailing info@workforcereadynow.com

You have the right to:

- Access the data we hold about you

- Request correction of inaccurate data

- Request deletion of your account and data

- Withdraw consent at any time

Children's Privacy

SIGNAL is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided us with personal information, contact us at info@workforcereadynow.com and we will delete it.

Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted data transmission (HTTPS) and secure cloud storage. Authentication is handled via passwordless magic links — we never store passwords.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of SIGNAL after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
